Central Park Microwedding Elopement at Cop Cot in NYC

Matt & Miranda had a perfect fall microwedding/elopement in Central Park at Cop Cot BEFORE 2020 made it popular!

It was truly the sweetest and most thoughtful day. I started my day with Miranda at Dry Bar where she got her hair done. Afterwards, we walked together to the sweetest floral shop in her neighborhood to pick up her bouquet!

Back at her apartment on the Upper East Side, her best friend was waiting to help her get into her dress, and once we did that, we piled into an Uber (after getting her veil on her in the hallway of her building) to head to drop a few things off at the restaurant where we’d eat after the ceremony and off to Central Park for their ceremony!

After a quick first look with Matt on 59th street, we did a few portraits and headed to Cop Cot. Central Park has many great spots for small ceremonies, and Cop Cot is a great choice! It’s picturesque as well as convenient to the entrance to Central Park for any guests who may be less mobile.

Miranda and Matt’s officiant, Reverend Annie, gave them an absolutely beautiful and meaningful ceremony attended by their closest friends and family. It was truly so sweet!

After some family photos and all the congratulations, we hopped in cabs and headed to Flex Mussels on the Upper East Side for their reception. They had the BEST brunch. I had pancakes and if you know me…you know breakfast food for weddings (or literally any meal?) is my fav.

After they got to celebrate with their guests, we popped over to Carl Schurz park for their portraits! I love shooting here because it’s less busy and popular but easily as picturesque as so many other iconic spots in Manhattan.

These wedding days are always my favorite…the simple, low key, love focused days.

Miranda and Matt, thanks for letting me capture your memories.

xoxo,
Alyssa
