Hey, I'm Alyssa.

My job is to capture the intimacy and beauty of love in all its forms, which basically means it's the coolest job. Telling real stories in beautiful ways is my jam! That is how I became a wedding and portrait photographer. I also happen to be a lover of both dogs and baked goods and I love to see the world.

I am passionate about the unique beauty of human beings and I strive to make sure that anyone, regardless of their size, shape, race, gender, or sexual orientation, believes and knows that they can work with me and receive beautiful results that reflect how wonderful they are as individual beings.

Hiring your dream photographer is a big decision that goes beyond beautiful pictures. That’s why it is so important that you know how seriously I take not only my job as an artist, but my responsibilities to my clients on the most important days of their lives. When I put myself out there as a photographer, what I’m primarily asking you for is your trust. Your trust in me to tell your story in images. I deliver that story through making sure that my clients feel totally comfortable being their truest selves when they’re with me. Working with me is personal and easy, like falling into step with a friend. I will always be myself with you and give you the freedom and safety to totally relax with me and with my camera, so that the real you shines through, whether that’s the truth of your relationship, your individual confidence, the essence of what makes you special, or a bubbling, unexpected laugh caught in an instant.

I believe firmly in transparency, attention to detail, and gently leading my clients through their shoots and events from headshot sessions to entire wedding days with a light touch that allows them to enjoy the experience of their day without ever having to worry about the moments that are being captured.

I am available for weddings, engagements, natural light headshots, family and senior portraits, and stage production photos. I primarily split my time between the DC Metropolitan Area (including Maryland and Virginia) and New York City, so I am readily available for work in both of those areas and anywhere in between. But don’t let that limit your vision, I love to travel, and I ecstatically book work anywhere your special event might take place. Look out for that super discount if you earn bonus points by booking your event in one of my bucket list locales!

As an artist, I am drawn to rich, bold images. I love to play with light, and moreover I love to play, period. I catch your most captivating and authentic images by working from a place of joy and genuine happiness in what I do.
